English and Humanities

The focus in Year 9 English has been on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew and essay writing. In Year 9 humanities the focus has been on World War 1 and on ‘Making a Nation’. In Year 10 humanities the focus has been on ‘Rights and Freedoms’ and ‘Migration Experiences’. As part of the Year 10 humanities unit on ‘Migration Experiences’, the students attended an excursion to the Immigration Museum where they had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding on migration experiences and the impact migrants have had on Australia.

The students have worked hard to achieve satisfactory outcomes. I hope in Term 3 they will all be as eager and continue to work hard.
